What will I have to decide before I can get a quotation?

There are four main decisions you will have to make:

  • How long you want to be insured for (that’s called the policy’s “term”)
  • How much money you want to insure for (that is called the policy’s cover)
  • Whether you want to include a partner or insure just yourself
  • Most of the critical illness policies ClickLife offer insure you for “Total and Permanent Disability” but sometimes it is an optional extra. Then if you suffered from a condition or an accident that totally and permanently prevented you from working, then you would have a claim.

But before an insurance company will pay out on a “Total and Permanent Disability” claim they need to know that you are too ill to ever work again. However, it is up to you to decide what being “out of work” means. That is why, before ClickLife could quote you, you'd need to decide what type of employment cover you require. You have three options:

Conditions that prevent you from following: -

  • Your own existing occupation. This can be an expensive option
  • Any employment to which you are suited. This is the medium-priced option
  • You’re unfit to do any work of any kind. This is the cheapest option because it is the least likely to arise of the three employment options.

You would need to decide which of these three employment options { loans } you want before you can get a quote.

If you feel you would like to discuss these options before you choose, talk to the Critical Illness Adviser from ClickLife about it when he/she phones you.
